The Doctor is DEAD

A representation of how smoking can lead to life changing, and threatening illnesses. Hospital visits may fill the future, possible surgeries, loss of limbs, and experimental medications until the inevitable death overtakes, in the same cold, sterile hospital they'd spent much of their later months/years having to frequent.

After all the money that goes into hospital bills, the family will more than likely cremate, as it's less expensive. The fires burn away the poisons of formaldehyde, arsenic, tar, and many more that the tobacco left in the system, cleansing the body of the illness--finally leaving the body at peace.

Big Tobacco likes to use attractive people in their advertisements to try and draw people to them. The nearly homicidal way these tycoons manipulate people to take poisons into their bodies and feed an addictive habit that may eventually lead to severe health problems and death--all while turning a blind eye to the facts right in front of their faces.

"The Doctor" in question is in reference the surgeon general; his warning that falls too late onto deaf ears of the people who smoke and put their lives into the hands of fat cats who don't even smoke their own product because they understand and recognize exactly how dangerous it is.

The placement of the sign of the doctor's death is reference to the surgeon's general warning itself--tucked to the side of the cigarette pack, and normally not noticed. At a hospital, some have writing on the information and front desks. Most never look to see it, or even know if it's there or not.

An older piece I did with a few years ago that I felt could well fit the contest. We referenced a picture for it, but for the life of me; I can't remember what picture. I remember it wasn't on dA at least.
